The Ciné-Parc is open rain or shine and all activities take place even when it rains. We do not refund or exchange tickets due to weather. You can consult the weather forecast for the Orford area here: https://www .meteomedia.com/ca/meteo/quebec/orford
  • Why can't we see films in both languages at all times and why are films in English not shown on weekends?
Like last summer, when we will be open full time, we have decided to establish a schedule for the presentation of English-language films. This summer's schedule will be available the week of May 16. We are currently evaluating the possibility of presenting some films in English on the weekends during the summer or even to do more performances in English for some highly anticipated films. The problem lies with the media sent to us by distributors (Disney, Warner, Sony etc). These media contain only one soundtrack, either in English or in French. We are currently working with distributors to convince them to produce media that would contain both languages. This would allow us to present all films in both languages at all times. Unfortunately, the distributors don't seem to want to send us media that would contain both soundtracks. We know that our decision is not suitable for everyone, but it was made based on our experience and in order to satisfy the majority of our customers.
  • Do I have to buy a car ticket and individual tickets?
No! It's either one or the other, whichever is more beneficial to you. The car ticket includes tickets for all passengers and for a maximum of 7 passengers.
  • Do I have to book?
We do not force anyone to book. On the other hand, experience shows us that the traffic at the Ciné-Parc, especially on weekends, is very high. The reservation is thus a way of guaranteeing your place. Nothing prevents you from waiting until the day before or the same morning to book if there is still room. We do not make refunds or exchanges due to weather. With the pandemic, we, and many tourist places, are adapting in the best way we can and this is how the choice ended after consulting the weather policies of several other places. We understand that watching a movie with windshield wipers is less interesting. We continue to believe that booking is still the best way to control traffic and thus prevent queues of several hours to enter the site.

  • Can we set up a tent on the site?
A terrible accident happened on July 31, 2019, at the Ciné-Parc de Boucherville. The Ciné-Parc Orford team was shaken by this sad news, and our hearts go out to the young victim's entire family. In order to avoid unfortunate situations of this kind in Estrie, the Ciné-Parc Orford is taking more stringent security measures directly on its land. As of August 1, 2019, all children's tents will be prohibited on the grounds. Also, customers wishing to listen to films on blankets directly on the ground will be advised of the dangerous risk to which they are exposed. With these two recommendations, we aim to make our customers aware of being easily visible to motorists near them and of avoiding accidents. We strongly advise our customers to use camping chairs in order to be at a more visible height for motorists who often drive in the dark. Eventually, the Ciné-Parc Orford will integrate strictly reserved areas for customers wanting to bring their chairs or to install their blankets on the ground to allow everyone to listen to the films in complete safety.
